"Vaibhav is an outstanding talent, and I am sure he will get his opportunities. But it would not be right to drop someone who has already been scoring runs just to create space for him. There is a very thin line between giving someone an opportunity and being unfair to another player," Kotak said.
The final decision on the playing XI, he confirmed, will be taken by head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shreyas Iyer closer to match time.

Kotak also praised newly appointed captain Shreyas Iyer, insisting the experienced batter is fully prepared for the leadership role.
